A rest day with 22 easy kms knocked off.
Hitched to Pelorous Bridge. Only waited 20 minutes for a lift which was good.
Had a good chat to a group of old guys on motorbikes at the Pelorous cafe. They said a family stayed there last night and headed for the Richmonds this morning.
Was a pleasant and easy walk, mostly on roads, back to Havelock.
Picked up food and sorted ready to go. It’s rather heavy = 8 days of food.
I’ll hitch to Pelorous again tomorrow then into the Richmonds. Looking forward to it.
