An easy but wet and fun day.
Arrived at Beachcomber water taxis at 7.30am to find the 8am trip was cancelled so waited till 9. Was raining on and off during trip to Ship Cove and most of the morning. Rained again when I arrived at Ferneaux Lodge so had an ice cream and a muffin. Was dry most of the rest of the afternoon.
Got to Camp Cove at 5.30 and Kyle, a biker was here. Had dinner together, shared his wine and went to Ponga Cove (10 minute walk) for a beer and chips. Very nice. Two female doctor friends of his were there.
Back at campsite just as it was getting dark.
The track has had a major upgrade since we were here about 15 years ago. It now has a gradient and track width suitable for mountain bikes so really easy walking.
The Backpackers I slept at briefly Water taxi company The water taxi at Ship Cove Yeah Captain Cook was here Raining again Nice little camp site Fearneaux Lodge I stopped for an ice-cream and muffin Weather is improving Looks like an interesting place to stay Nice little waterfall The campsite I stayed at Ponga Cove $17 for a glass of beer Chips were good.
