The cruise ship, the Milford Navigator, left on time yesterday in perfect conditions. They claimed there are only 20 days a year when the sun shines all day with no wind and we got one of them. The ship went out to the Tasman sea and anchored so we could have a look around in the tender or canoes. I went for the tour in the tender which was great. A few people had a swim too.
Then dinner was served. That was really good, 3 courses and seconds allowed. Nobody went hungry.
This was followed by a slide show explaining more of the history and features of the area. Really well done.
Had an excellent cooked breakfast and a repeat trip around the Sound. Another perfect day in terms of the weather.
The ship docked in Milford at 9.30am and I got on the bus with the Milton Rotory crowd for the trip to TeAnau. A huge thanks to the Rotory group for their support and company during the last 5 days. They helped make the trip really special and memorable.
The bus driver provided an excellent commentary on the way back to TeAnau.
