A short and easy but cold day.
Slept in, had a leasurely breakfast and left at 8.30am. It was tempting to spend the day at Bungaree as it was an excellent set up.
I stopped for a snack at the Murray River hunters hut which was at the end of another very nice beach.
I met 3 people, a hunter who had shot a couple of deer and a young couple. They were heading to Bungaree to catch a water taxi to Oban.
Arrived at Christmas Village Hut at 1.30 and spent an hour hunting for firewood. The wood burner here is pretty hopeless but managed to make it burn the wood I had collected. It didn’t really heat the hut much.
I have the hut to myself tonight. Quite a change from the last few weeks when I’ve had Dennis for company. I think I’m missing him.
