A long but pleasant road walk.
Got away before 7 and just kept walking all day on the gravel road – 30km.
Met be Dorothy (Dennis’s wife) in Coleridge Village just before 2pm. Had a look at the power station before driving to Methven.
Booked into a cabin – very basic but at $25 a night I’m not complaining. Had a shower and washed my clothes then down to the pub for dinner. Lamb shanks – nice.
Rest day tomorrow and plan the next section.
It looks like we will be somewhere around Twizell for Christmas and Bluff by the end of January.
