A hard day again.
Last big day in the Richmonds.
Pleasant morning walk with lots of up and down to Porters Hut for lunch. Another nice hut.
The afternoon was a lot harder going and especially the last leg of 5km after crossing the Motueka River. This also involved 400m of climbing so I was pretty waisted when I finally got to Red Hills Hut at 5.00pm.
Alex (another SOBO) was at the hut already – have been a day or two behind him all the way from Pelorous. Good to meet him at last.
I am so looking forward to a change of food, a shower and clean clothes tomorrow after 8 straight days of hiking.
