A splendid day despite the 15 km road walk.
Left the Hotel at 7am and went across the road to the cafe for coffee. Decided to try my luck asking people who came into the cafe for a lift. The first guy I asked was keen so was at the Pelorous Bridge by 7.30. Really good start to the day.
The 15km road walk took 3 hours but with no Podcasts to listen to as have to save battery. Nice day so didn’t really matter.
One hour from the end of the road to the Emerald Pools. Rather strange as those pools are no different to any others on the river.
At the Captain Creek Hut by 2 so carried on for another couple of hours to Middy Hut.
Arrived same time as the Porch family. Nice family carrying enough food for 14 days through the Richmonds. Very impressive. They are living the dream.
