Today I had the power and energy needed all day. It felt great. My pack is a bit lighter as I’m only carrying 3 days of food.
The rain that was forecast didn’t show up until around 4pm and I arrived at the Whare a few minutes after that.
The trail today was all on footpaths, roads or tracks that used to be roads. So it was all easy going and it was great to be able to keep my feet dry too. So my blister was not an issue today. I doubt that I’ll be so lucky tomorrow.
This shelter was built 2 years ago by the Palmerston North council and its great. No door but its dry with 2 big sleeping platforms plus a cooking bench. That’s all we need on a wet night.
My new socks Funny mod to sign in a bus stop. Lepers? Excellent information Cool metal work All the tools needed to fix your bike including tyre pump. Coolest pedestrian bridge I’ve seen. But I’m free to pee anywhere Huge mountain bike park The halfway point My shelter for the night A dry place and a hot drink. Life is great
