A pleasant sunny day at last.
Loic dropped me back to the spot he picked me up and I took 2 hours to slack pack my way the 12km back to his place. Packed my nearly dry sleeping bag (the hood part was really wet) and the rest of my gear and headed to a cafe for a big breakfast. Was really good.
Hit the road again and another 4-5 hours to Fielding. All road walking today so nice and easy.
Shin seems to be behaving.
Found a really good ice-cream shop in Fielding and enjoyed a big milk shake.
My pack is still pretty heavy as I’m carrying 4 days food which I won’t touch before Palmerston North.
Staying at John’s place. Another great host.
